Help with Custom Analysis

drganir

I would like to modify a standard analysis for custom use. How do I load the parameters/measurements of a standard analysis for customization?

WebCeph Manager

Dear Dr. Ganir, Thank you for reaching out. If you would like to modify a standard analysis for custom use, please provide details on the specific analysis type you wish to modify and the changes you would like to make. Kindly send this information to our admin email at admin@assemblecircle.com, and we will review the request and guide you on the customization process. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out. Best regards, WEBCEPH Team

I've spent several hours creating a custom analysis that I'd like to share with other users in my study group. How can others get access to a custom analysis?

drganir

Is it possible to share custom analysis with any users?

WebCeph Manager

Dear doctor. Thanks for the question. Sharing features of the custom analysis is a feature under development, and it is likely that it will take some time until it is completed or opened. Thank you so much for giving us your good opinion. And thank you for using WebCeph.

drganir

Thanks for responding, Does ‘some time’ mean weeks, months, or years?

WebCeph Manager

We are thinking that sharing custom analysis function will be opened in bundles with other functions, so considering the current development plan, we can answer that we are expecting it to be from 'months' to 'a year'. Please understand that it takes time to add features. Thank you for your understanding. Doctor.

Changing name for custom measurement

drganir

Thank you for the help! Is there a way to change the name of a custom measurement without deleting and recreating? or is there a way to clone custom measurement?

WebCeph Manager

Dear doctor. Thanks for the question. When creating a custom measurement, the name of the measurement value is used as a unique value to act as an identifier (the name serves as an ID), so it is developed so that it cannot be changed after creation. WebCeph does not officially support a clone function of custom measurement yet. There are future plans to improve the usability of the Custom Wizard, but it is expected that it will take time to improve it because of the development priority which is working on. We are sorry that the function you requested is not currently supported. Thank you for your kind comments and thank you for using WebCeph.

occlusal plane measurements?

drganir

How do I create a relationship of occlusal plane to Frankfort Plane

WebCeph Manager

Thanks for the question. Creating custom measurement is possible through the Measurement Wizard. Clicking on this link will take you to the Measurement Wizard. Here, enter the desired measurement name and select "angle_AB_CD" as the measurement value type. As input variables, Porion is assigned to point A, Orbitale to point B, Posterior occlusal point to point C, and Anterior occlusal point to point D and click "Save". After that, it is possible to add the mean value or standard deviation value for that measurement. A link to the how-to-make-custom-analysis-and-measurement tutorial is attached below. Thanks for using WebCep.

How to use WEBCEPH: Analysis Wizard & Measurement Wizard

WebCeph Manager

drganir

I am familiar with how to create a measurement, but there is no point to use for the functional occlusal plane that is accurate. I need an average of the distance between upper and lower molar points (to create a plane between the posterior teeth) but don't see a way to do that

WebCeph Manager

Dear doctor. As you said, the posterior occlusal plane currently provided in WebCeph is designed to be calculated as the midpoint between the mesial point of the maxillary first molar and the mesial point of the mandibular first molar. Therefore, it is considered appropriate to use the posterior occlusal point for the intended purpose.

drganir

Hello, Can you please tell me specifically how you set up the ceph calculation for occlusal plane? I need to set up a custom occlusal plane and have tried every custom formula, but nothing is working

WebCeph Manager

WebCeph Manager

If you look at the image above, we gave an example of the occlusal plane angle (FH plane to occlusal plane angle). If angle_AB_CD is selected as the measurement type, the angle is set as above. In other words, it is designed to measure the angle between the AB and CD segments in the clockwise direction. In addition, the occlusal point is designed to calculate the midpoint of the maxillary and mandibular incisors and the midpoint of the maxillary and mandibular molars. Therefore, you can measure the angle formed by the occlusal plane with other planes by setting as above.

I am trying to figure out how to get the "Chart" on the Analysis page to show the proper SD calculations. I have entered the proper data for the SD "standard deviations" and high and low expected outcomes in my custom calculations, but it does not show in the chart. Instead, for each of the measurements I have created, it only states "Mean, SD Data of____"

WebCeph Manager

Dear doctor, Thanks for the question. In order to create custom measurement values in the Measurement Wizard, it is necessary to 1) define the custom measurement and 2) define the reference values (mean and standard deviation) according to age and gender for that measurement. You seems to have succeeded in defining the measurement properly but not the reference value. In order to display the meaning correctly in the analysis tab, you must define reference values according to age and gender for the measurement. [How to define Reference value] Select the custom measurement you created from the custom measurement list in the measurement wizard. Then click the 'Edit measurement' button. This activates the Reference Data Setting panel on the right. After entering the age, average value, and standard deviation, click the 'Update Reference Database' button. Then, you will get proper meaning for the measurement in the analysis tab. Below I attach the Tutorial link for the custom analysis and custom measurement.
