Retraction with mini-screws tends to cause intrusion. (especially with vertical vector.) As can be seen in the case above, the posterior intrusion causes the mandibular counterclockwise rotation. This results in forward movement of the tip of the jaw and maximizes the aesthetic improvement of patients who tend to protrude. Dramatic changes can be observed in precision superimposition using Webceph. Has anyone experienced this when retraction with mini-screws?

The position of the maxillary anterior teeth is one of the most important factors when evaluating the results of orthodontic treatment. In the case of severe crowding, even if the tooth was judged to be severely crowded, it was found that excessive extraction space remained when leveling was finished. The teeth were arranged ruggedly back and forth, but the teeth were inclined inward, so lack of space was not actually that very serious. In this case, contrary to the dentist's intention, the maxillary anterior teeth are lingually positioned, or additional effort is needed to prevent them. We measure ALD in a variety of ways to minimize these errors, for example, continuous wire measuring …
Today, I will discuss about interproximal reduction. Patients are often reluctant to extract their teeth. In that case, one of the options you can choose is interproximal reduction. However, it is not clear how much interproximal reduction will improve the protrusion problem of the patient. We looked closer into this issue through WebCeph’s precision superimposition feature. Interproxiaml reduction was performed and spaces were closed with the help of mini-screw. Though not comparable to extractions, we confirmed some degree of protrusion reduction. The change in incisor inclination observed through WebCeph analysis was about 10 degrees in …

Female pt with protruded mandible
I want to put the ttt planning
Need help in leteral ceph analysis and tracing
Yehyun Kim
If you are asking how to do tracing and analysis, you can easily perform cephalometric analysis by uploading a lateral ceph and do A.I. landmark digitization. Please refer to the tutorial here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuOai-QHF8o When it comes to treatment plans, the patient's age is not exactly known, but considering root formation, it seems to be that the patient is in adolescence and he/she lost deciduous mandibular second molar early. It seems to be necessary to prevent mesial movement of the mandibular first molar by using space maintainer. In addition, overgrowth of the mandible is observed, so it seems to be necessary to explain to the patient and their parents about the possibilities of orthognathic surgery when the patient's growth stops.
Hello members:D I am Dr.Park, an OMF surgeon specializing in orthognathic surgery, hoping to share thoughts and opinions on jaw surgery with you.
