Retraction with mini-screws tends to cause intrusion. (especially with vertical vector.) As can be seen in the case above, the posterior intrusion causes the mandibular counterclockwise rotation. This results in forward movement of the tip of the jaw and maximizes the aesthetic improvement of patients who tend to protrude. Dramatic changes can be observed in precision superimposition using Webceph. Has anyone experienced this when retraction with mini-screws?

Today, I will discuss about interproximal reduction. Patients are often reluctant to extract their teeth. In that case, one of the options you can choose is interproximal reduction. However, it is not clear how much interproximal reduction will improve the protrusion problem of the patient. We looked closer into this issue through WebCeph’s precision superimposition feature. i think , you can only have 2-4 mm at the max. so it depends on the amount of protrusion you have from the beginning ,

If you are asking how to do tracing and analysis, you can easily perform cephalometric analysis by uploading a lateral ceph and do A.I. landmark digitization. It seems to be necessary to prevent mesial movement of the mandibular first molar by using space maintainer.
